FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is an impact statement?

One or two sentences that say what you did, how you did it and what changed because of it. They are the building blocks of a strong self review, resume or promotion packet.

What if I don’t have a number?

Use the closest real measure you have: time saved, people helped, incidents avoided, or a before and after. If you need to look it up, leave a [placeholder] and fill it in later. Never estimate a number you can’t back up.

How is this different from a resume bullet?

They follow the same formula. A self review can say more about how you worked with others; a resume bullet is shorter and leads with the result.

Does the AI invent results?

No. It only uses what you write, and leaves [placeholders] where a number would help. A draft that states a number you never gave is thrown away.
