Fill every bracket with a fact
A phrase only works with your real details in it. If you can’t fill a bracket honestly, pick a different phrase.

One phrase per accomplishment
Two or three strong, specific points per theme beat ten generic ones. Your manager is reading many reviews.

Mix in the softer categories
Mentoring, collaboration and communication often decide promotions. Give each at least one point.

Read it out loud
If a sentence sounds like a template when spoken, rewrite it in your own words.

Look them up before you submit: dashboards, ticket counts, CI history or your calendar. If there is truly no number, describe the before and after in words.
